Our Work in Asia
Many countries on the world's largest continent are seeking new ways to close the gap between rich and poor, promote econ-omic integration, and meet the needs of growing urban populations. But natural disasters and infectious disease across the region have stunted economic growth, leaving govern-ments and communities to cope with sociopolitical instability.
We work with our partners to build capacity in the health sector, develop vib-rant microfinance indus-tries, accelerate peace processes in places like Banda Aceh and Mindanao, and fuel economic growth through private-sector investment and small-business development.

Live radio has emerged as an effective forum for engaging youth, encouraging discussion of public issues, and diffusing tensions among religious and ethnic communities. |
